Apollo fish fry recipe is the nearest match to the one that is served in Andhra and telangana.but mostly in Andhra restaurants. this recipe is similar to the fish Manchurian recipe, in this case, we do not need any sauces.you can still prepare this apollo fish, just as same as the restaurant style.

Apollo Fish Fry Recipe


Fish (boneless pieces) – 250 grams
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
Salt – ¼ tsp
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Egg (beaten) – ½ no
Maida – 2 tbsp
Cornstarch – 2 tbsp
Oil (for deep-frying) – As Needed


Oil – 1 tbsp
Ginger (finely chopped) – 2 tsp
Garlic (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
Green Chilli (slit) – 3 nos
Curry Leaves – 10 nos
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – ½ tsp
Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Soy Sauce – 2 tsp
Red Chilli Sauce – 1 tbsp
Curd (beaten) – 2 tbsp
Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp


  1. Mix the fish pieces along with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and black pepper powder. Add the egg, cornstarch and maida. Mix well to coat the fish evenly.
  2. Deep-fry the fish for 4-5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
  3. In another pan, heat oil and add ginger, garlic, curry leaves and green chilli.
  4. Add Kashmiri chilli powder, pepper powder, coriander powder, soy sauce and red chilli sauce. Mix well to combine everything together.
  5. Add salt, curry leaves and the fried fish pieces into the pan. Add coriander leaves and lemon juice. Toss well and serve hot!
